When people come to me for marketing help because they feel like they’ve tried everything and nothing has worked yet, I often find that they’ve skipped a really important prerequisite: business boundaries.

I can tell because if they actually GOT the kind of clients, sales, money, following, and notoriety they’re trying to call in right now… they wouldn’t be able to hold it. They don’t have the boundaries in place to maintain the capacity to handle the uplevel they want.

This can show up as:

☄️Underpricing

☄️ Accepting bad-fit projects

☄️ Marketing a service they don’t actually enjoy providing because they think it’s a safer bet

☄️ Struggling to address their marketing ONLY to aligned clients

☄️ Not pushing back against scope creep

☄️ Stuffing their offers with a bunch of extras and setting themselves up to overwork

☄️ Not resting or taking adequate time off

☄️Experiencing burnout already, BEFORE they’ve got the sales

This happens because we’ve been trained to think that these are the “safe” choices, the “responsible” choices- an exhausting reality that we just have to accept.

But these aren’t the safe choices for you as an entrepreneur.

Lack of Boundaries = Lack of Safety

So much of my role as Marketing Confidence Cheerleader is reminding you that you have choice. And that you get to update your definition of safety.

Safety as an entrepreneur is doing work that lights you up rather than drains you, for people who light you up rather than drain you, for money that gives you freedom, spaciousness, and power rather than keeping you stuck on the scarcity hamster wheel.

Safety as an entrepreneur is saying “no” to money that requires too much from you in exchange.

Safety as an entrepreneur is protecting your capacity to serve the clients and following you’re calling in.

Safety as an entrepreneur is believing in your value as a service provider and your worthiness as a person, so that when you DO get what you want, you don’t immediately self-sabotage.

Safety as an entrepreneur is having powerful boundaries, because you know your genius, your energy, and your wellbeing are worth protecting.

You need boundaries to stay accountable to your vision & your values.

This is new.

It’s likely you haven’t been taught this. Not in school. Not in corporate. Not in your family. I sure wasn’t. And that’s what had me replicating toxic systems and expectations for myself when I first opened my business. I had to learn the hard way.

But you don’t.

That’s why I made you a Business Boundaries Course. Here, I will teach you how to weave powerful boundaries right into the fabric of your business to protect you Money, Scope, Time, and Vision. We will weave these boundaries into your offers, your systems, and your marketing so that your business can do most of the boundary-setting work for you. And, for those moments when you’re caught off guard, we’ll prep you with scripts and options so you’re ready to advocate for yourself rather than freeze.

We meet Wednesdays (4 of them) October 30- November 20, 2024. Business Boundaries registrants also get complimentary admission to my Squad 🎉 of excellently eccentric entrepreneurs for the month of November 2024.

Registration for Business Boundaries is free if you sign up by Monday, October 14th, but you can still join Oct. 15-29th with baddie-on-a-budget pricing.
